Just Another Bye-Bye

Hello there ladies and gentlemen.

Got any updates?

Me and the usuals went to the airport again today to send another friend off, named Afiq. Me and Afiq had a kinda weird history together cos as he says: "You keep on popping up in my life"... Well, true indeed, and funny as well. We became friends from fencing and since then we've done a lot together. From small foreign fencing tourneys like Teluk Danga, Johor International Gams to local competitions such as the Junior Circuit, it was a hell of a rollercoaster ride.

And to put it this way, we've also been kind of 'on' and 'off' since he left fencing (way before i did) and we didn't really see other that much, only bumping onto each other as, well, you know, Brunei is a small country where you almost know everyone and their dirty little secrets as well.

Shortly after that (and a few incidents) i stopped fencing and started working where i met him once again. A history be told indeed. Guess that's all about it. Just a brief re-cap of our 'little' friendship and how it made me think that time just passed by without even a sense of mercy. How fast everything was said, done and experienced. It saddens me sometimes. But what can we do but just follow the rule, as the hippies say: "Just go with the flow". Plus a classic advise, cherish every moment and don't let it go to waste.

Enough with the words of wisdom and let's get back to the update. I picked Ka Jay and Ka Neena from the stadium and went to Gadong and did a little something ( a certificate, actually) for the invited fencing coaches from Hungary. I took this cute picture, it was tempting me to.

We then looked here and there for catering services for a dinner celebration. After that, to the airport we go.

This time was no different, we had to break fast on the spot. Thankfully we bought drinks early. And Afiq's mom was kind enough to distribute sandwiches and drinks to the visiting crowd and us for a light fast breaker (not sure if that's even right =P). A short goodbye was said and off we go to Faize Restaurant to continue the journey to fill our half-empty stomachs.

We ordered Nasi Beriyanis and it was really hard for me to finish it cos i was fully loaded =P excuses, excuses...

No pictures from here on, just story-telling. We went to Gadong again for the second time, this time just to hunt for DVDs and stuff. Because Ka Neena had an essay to finish, we sent her home after that. On our way to Ka Jay's house, we changed our minds and decided to take a peek at the fencing spartans swimming at Anggrek Desa (which we initially thought was at Stadium the first place!). We also had trouble finding Bg Yunus's car but later found out he was using his motorcycle. Haha.

Before i sent ka Jay to Bg Yunus's place we drop by her friends' house to get something. We chatted a little bit and then went back home.

A crazy fun night. Hope to do it again, soon =)

As for you guys...

till then,

TBC.

regards,
ace.
